Speaker Ryan, Majority Leader McCarthy Credit Gianforte for Drawing Attention to Wildfires
Montana Congressman Greg Gianforte today called on the U.S. Department of Agriculture to investigate one of its front-line supervisors for abusing his power and targeting Montana meat packers.

Washington, D.C. – The U.S. House of Representatives voted today to provide $36.5 billion for urgent, short-term recovery needs from recent natural disasters. The funding package includes $576.5 million for wildfires, including fire suppression as well as relief and recovery needs.

“We’ll pursue this. We’ll get to the bottom of this,” Gianforte told the small business owner.
Riley’s business, as well as others, has been the target of harassment by a supervisor for a federal agency.
